A private school chose to place older students in charge of younger students, with the supervision of adults. The older students were interrogating a younger boy and began to repeatedly punch him in the head when he was not answering to their satisfaction. A staff member of the school observed the younger boy’s face and physical condition immediately after and did not contact his parent or provide medical attention. The student suffered a concussion in addition to bleeding and bruising. The school agreed to settle in favor of the student after DRZ represented him in a mediation.
